Merry Christmas Round Sign - Craft at Home Intructions

Merry Christmas Round – Craft at Home Instructions
Step 1: Using the brown stain and a sponge, apply stain across the wood round and wipe off any extra stain. Let dry. Gently rub the enclosed piece of sandpaper across the wood round to smooth it out.
Step 2: Using the plastic squeegee, rub the back of each stencil for 1 minute. Carefully remove the white back layer of your solid rectangle stencil to expose the sticky side. Think of it as a big sticker and you are peeling off the back of the sticker, making sure all the little pieces stay in place. Once the back is removed, place it on the round about 1.5” from the bottom. Carefully smooth out with your fingers. Then remove the top transfer tape and you are ready to paint with the red paint and a dabbing method. Let dry. Once dry, use your sandpaper to smooth out the red paint.
Step 3: Carefully remove the white back layer of your plaid stencil to expose the sticky side. Think of it as a big sticker and you are peeling off the back of the sticker, making sure all the little pieces stay in place. Once the back is removed, place your stencil over the red paint so it's evenly covering the painted section. Carefully smooth out with your fingers. Then remove the top transfer tape and you are ready to paint!
Step 4: Take out some black paint and using a white foam wedge, dip the flat edge of the wedge into the paint and then dab off all the excess paint (think dry sponge!). You want a very thin coat of paint to minimize the chances of getting paint under the stencil. Carefully dab the black paint up and down over the stencil, covering all areas. Repeat with a second thin layer. Now remove the stencil and remove the tape. While you have the black paint out, you can use it to paint both sides of the stand.
Step 5: Take the white paint and with another foam wedge, dab the Christmas cut out and merry cut out with the white paint, using light coats and being careful not to get paint on the edges of the words. Repeat this with the tree using green paint.
Step 6: Using the glue, carefully put a small amount of glue on the back of the cut outs and glue them down on the round.
Step 7: Place the stand pieces together and put your sign on the stand. Enjoy your beautiful work!
